CREDENTIALING
All certificated staff must have a valid California teaching credential. For more information regarding the
Designated Subjects credentials please go to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website
at: www.ctc.ca.gov to find out more about the requirements for initial issuance or to renew your current credentials.

The Designated Subjects Career Technical credential authorizes the holder to teach career technical courses in the subject named on the credential in grades twelve and below and in classes primarily organized for adults.

To obtain your first-time preliminary Designated Subjects credential contact an approved agency (LEA) for assistance with the application process.
