2005/2006
OUTSTANDING STUDENTS
Each year, East San Gabriel Valley
ROP Technical Center, in conjunction with the Olympic
Chapter of the California Association of Regional Occupational
Centers and Programs (CAROC/P), conducts a contest to
find the outstanding students for the school year.
Teachers nominate likely candidates who
submit applications packets. A committee of ROP staff
members screens applications. Three finalists are chosen
from six career path categories. A panel of local business
partner’s interviews finalists and then winners
are chosen.
Outstanding students receive cash scholarships
and are recognized at the Olympic Chapter Outstanding
Student Ceremony, the East San Gabriel Valley ROP/TC
Outstanding Student Reception and at the East San Gabriel
Valley ROP/TC Business Partner Breakfast.
