CAREER ASSESSMENT

Each student is assessed for career interests, personality temperament, academic levels and skill aptitudes. These assessments help parents, students and counselors determine which career path might be preferred by the student, and would best utilize the student's skills; at the same time, they help to identify personalized teaching strategies. 3,895 assessments were provided in 1999-2000 to students of the ROP/TC and districts. Assessment staff administers the assessment, scores and interpret, and write the individualized career guidance plan information. These results are reviewed with each student and teacher. The testing provides the student with information about their current academic levels, individual learning style, career aptitudes, personality temperament and career interests. The results also help teachers with individualized instruction. Once examined, individual results are then matched to various careers in which the student will most likely succeed.
