"This house is the result of students learning
all aspects of construction in the ESGVROP/TC
Energy Efficiency
Construction Trades program. It is the seventh
house completed since the conception of the
class. Two houses
were built in the City of Covina, 4 in the City
of Azusa, and now this one in Baldwin Park on
Bresee street. Each house was 1395 square foot
with three bedrooms and two baths. Some were
built with attached garages and some were detached
depending on the configuration of the lot. ROP
students started these projects from the ground
up and completed all facets of the house, except
for the finished drywall, stucco, and air conditioning
installation. Students who complete our Construction
Trades program successfully gain employment
because of all the knowledge they gain. These
projects were possible due to collaborative
partnerships with the individual cities where
these homes were build."
