GLOBAL BEST AWARD: In 2004, the East San Gabriel Valley
ROP Technical Center was named as the winner of the
Global Best Award for Partnerships that focus on “Skills
Development for the Workforce”. The International
Partnership Network gave only four awards internationally
– one for the Americas which was won by ESGVROP/TC,
one for Europe, one for Asia/Africa and one for Australia
and the Pacific.
ESGVROP/TC was awarded this honor due
to the exemplary success of its students “gaining
employability skills”, “expanding career/technical
training”, “integrating classroom and on-the-job
work experience”, and “developing students’
information/communication technology skills”.
ESGVROP/TC was lauded for its measurable student results,
its extensive business involvement, and specific student
achievements such as employment rates, salaries, academic
growth, and college attendance. The organization was
also lauded for its numerous publications and handbooks
that provide guidelines to other school systems looking
to adopt its practices. The International Partnership
Network is an organization of Universities, schools
and international businesses dedicated to fostering
effective educational programs that utilize business
partners in their communities.
Congratulations to the Board of Management,
the entire staff and to the students of the East San
Gabriel Valley ROP Technical Center. This award is truly
